Palm Tree Fibre Product Workshop
To introduce participants to the fundamentals of palm and banana fibre processing, including sustainable extraction methods and the importance of eco-friendly craft practices.
To develop practical skills in fibre preparation, weaving, twisting, and product-making techniques using traditional and sustainable methods.
To enhance creativity, confidence, and self-reliance through hands-on craft training and the development of marketable fibre products.
No prior experience is required. The workshop is open to beginners and individuals interested in learning eco-friendly fibre craft.
Active participation in all practical sessions including fibre extraction, processing, weaving, and finishing is required.
Participants will be evaluated based on skill development, technique accuracy, product quality, and creativity.
Adherence to workshop guidelines, safe handling of tools, and maintaining cleanliness are mandatory.
Upon successful completion of the workshop, participants will gain comprehensive knowledge of palm and banana fibre processing. They will be able to create durable, eco-friendly, and market-ready fibre products independently, supporting sustainable livelihood opportunities.
Participants who successfully complete the training and submit final products will be awarded a Certificate in Palm & Banana Fibre Product Development.
