My Journey with Diabetes: From Complications to Vitality

“My name is Ashok Kumar, and I am from Rajapalayam. I was diagnosed with diabetes nearly 15 years ago and had been dependent on insulin injections and oral medications for many years. My regular treatment included insulin injections such as Apidra and Lantus, along with Metformin tablets to control my blood sugar levels. I was taking approximately 20 units of insulin at night and 16 units during the daytime.

Despite regular medication, my blood sugar levels remained poorly controlled. Due to worsening symptoms and complications, I returned to India for further medical evaluation. During a medical check-up, my blood glucose level was found to be above 500 mg/dl. I had also developed complications such as a diabetic foot ulcer, diabetic nephropathy, and diabetic retinopathy. Doctors informed me that I was also progressing toward diabetic neuropathy. This situation made me very worried about my health.

I then started an integrative treatment approach that included yoga therapy, naturopathy, dietary regulation, and Panchakarma therapies. With consistent practice and lifestyle changes, I gradually experienced significant improvements in my health.

Physiological Improvements Observed:
  • Blood glucose regulation: Blood sugar reduced from around 500 mg/dl to nearly 90 mg/dl.
  • HbA1c improvement: Reduced from 12.7% to 7%.
  • Improved insulin sensitivity: The body’s response to glucose improved through regular yoga practices and dietary regulation.

"This is thaai from sriviliputhur. I was 70years old. I was working as an farmer in my own agricultural land. My name is Ruvanthika. I am 8 years old. Before I joined AYUSH HUB, I used to fall sick very often. Every three months, I would get severe coryza (cold). My nose would block, I would struggle to breathe, and there was a strange wheezing sound from my chest whenever the doctor listened with a stethoscope.
