Day 1: SADHANA

Self Practice & Inner Discipline

  • Gentle loosening practices and asanas
  • Pranayama for balance and awareness
  • Introduction to meditation and mindfulness
  • Yogic lifestyle principles (Ahara, Vihara, Achara)
  • Relaxation techniques for physical and mental calm

Sharing Yoga with the World
  • Yoga as a tool for selfless service
  • Basic teaching skills and demonstration methods
  • Simple yoga practices for community well-being
  • Therapeutic yoga introduction for common conditions
  • Ethics and responsibility of a yoga practitioner
  • Guided group practice and interaction

Course Objectives

Sadhana Program
Objective 1

To introduce participants to the fundamental principles of yoga, including its philosophy, importance of Sadhana (self-practice), and its role in holistic health and well-being.

Objective 2

To develop practical skills in basic yoga practices such as loosening exercises, asanas, pranayama, relaxation techniques, and meditation for physical and mental balance.

Objective 3

To enhance self-awareness, discipline, confidence, and inner stability through regular yogic practice and mindful lifestyle habits.

Prerequisites & Policies

Prerequisites

No prior yoga experience is required. The workshop is open to beginners and individuals interested in yoga for personal growth, well-being, and service.

Attendance

Active participation in all practical sessions including asanas, pranayama, relaxation, and groups is required.

Practical Assessment

Evaluated on regular practice, body alignment, breathing awareness, focus, and understanding.

Discipline & Safety

Adherence to yogic discipline, safe practice guidelines, hygiene, and respectful behavior is mandatory.

Course Outcomes

Participants will develop personal yogic discipline through sadhana and learn how to apply and share yoga practices as a form of service for holistic well-being.

Certification

Participants who successfully complete the course will be awarded a Certificate in Sadhana practice.
